
A sunny example of late ‘90s house music, Deep Sensation’s massive burner welds together the better parts from a small handful of obscure ‘70s disco and funk tracks, transforming them into a pounding & uplifting piece of electronic dance music. In fact, virtually the only things they added to the collage of samples here was a simple 4/4 bump and homeboy singing about, “…we all got to live together right now, we got to find a way, somehow, some way…some of us, we’re tryin’ so hard, tryin’ so hard…keep on, keep on, keep on, keepin’ on…” I remain confused and mostly ambivalent about this “afterlife” business, but an image of all the loved one’s you’ve lost dancing together in the clouds is awfully satisfying, for a moment anyways…
